Fred Ferguson developed the patents for Av-Intel Airships.  He is a  past Director of the Air Industries Association of Canada and past Chairman of the AIAC Canadian Civil Airworthiness Directorate.  He received the Canadian Government Industry Award for Excellence in Invention, 1984 for advances in aerospace technologies.  He is the recipient of the Phillips Petroleum Award for problem solving provided by the American association for the Advancement of Science.  He also received the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Award of Merit for Innovative Technologies for the exploration of space, specifically the Mars vehicle design for NASA’s Outreach Program.
